P723X@BCS is located at 595 Gerard Avenue in the Bronx. We are a Day Treatment Center jointly sponsored with The New York State Office of Mental Health. Our collaborative program services Middle School and High School students with Emotional Disturbances. Within our Center we have two highly structured programs to offer a broader range of service. Bronx Day Treatment (BDT) provides a fully integrated educational and clinical program. Intensive Day Treatment (IDT) provides a short term program (45 days) serving youngsters who are in crisis, or temporarily unable to be maintained in a more traditional academic and/or treatment center. Both programs use The PBIS model for behavioral motivation. This model focusing on educating students on everyday skills to help them become well rounded individuals. Appropriate behaviors are reinforced and inappropriate behaviors are corrected. As the students use the skills they have attained they earn privileges and rewards. Our goal of this collaborative program is to return the youth to a more inclusive educational setting. P.723X @ Bronx Children's School:
